LARGEST-EVER MINOR LEAGUE CRICKET SLATE OF MATCHES SET FOR JULY FOURTH WEEKEND IN HOUSTON

The Toyota Minor League Cricket Championship presented by Sunoco will feature 25 matches across the weekend at Prairie View Cricket Complex, near Houston, TX, making it the largest-ever weekend of action at one venue. Twenty-one teams from across the country, featuring many of the nation’s best cricketers, will compete from July 1-4 with the matches all weekend free for fans to attend. All 25 games will be live-streamed via the MLC Network on YouTube, with seven games to feature enhanced 8-camera productions to be broadcast on Willow TV’s linear channel.

July 4 Weekend - Houston CricketThe weekend of T20 cricket begins on Friday, July 1 with host team the Houston Hurricanes taking on the Chicago Blasters at 4.30 PM CST. Saturday’s action starts as the New England Eagles face off with the DC Hawks, the first of eight games on four fields that day. Sunday’s slate includes a further eight games, beginning at 10 AM CST as the Ft. Lauderdale Lions take on the DC Hawks. Monday sees another eight games take place, with the weekend wrapping up as the Orlando Galaxy play the New England Eagles at 2.30 PM CST.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet with international star cricketers, enjoy food from local food trucks, music, and other entertainment. Gates open at 10 AM each day and the full schedule of matches is available here.

Prairie View Cricket Complex, located at Richards Road at Highway 290, Prairie View, TX 77445, is one of the United States’ best cricket training and playing facilities and was the first venue to be designated as a Major League Cricket National Cricket Center, featuring six turf cricket pitches. The facility was originally constructed in 2019 and is one of only a few multi-field turf wicket cricket complexes in the United States.
